Bissa donates new ambulance to Kongoussi district in Burkina Faso

6 October 2022

Nordgold Group («Nordgold» or the «Company»), an internationally diversified gold producer, is pleased to announce that, in line with the Company’s Social Responsibility Policy, its Bissa mine has invested US$50,000 in supporting healthcare infrastructure in the Kongoussi district of Burkina Faso.

In recent years, the area has seen an increase in population, and a new four-wheel-drive ambulance and medical equipment will help local healthcare professionals to treat more patients faster.

"We have noticed the migration of people from the north of the country to Kongoussi and decided to support the community with an additional ambulance and other necessary medical equipment."

Kayaba Kabordirector of community relations at Bissa

"The ambulance donated by Nordgold’s Bissa will save many lives. The mine’s initiative comes at the right time and will contribute to improving local healthcare."

Dr. Idrissa Ouédraogothe Head Doctor of the Kongoussi health districtt
