Geologists of the Gross Cluster Begin 2023 Field Season in Yakutia

April 3, 2023

Geologists of the Gross gold mining cluster, a division of Nordgold international company, have started a new field season in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) in the north-eastern part of Siberia.

"During the 2023 season, exploration will continue at the Gross and Taborny mines to increase the quality of reserves. The exploration program for 2023 also covers recently discovered gold deposits near Gross"

Alexander FedorenkoHead of Exploration of the Gross cluster

Exploration at the Gross and Taborny will help to update block models before drafting plans for the next year.

Geologists will continue to study promising exploration areas around the cluster to ensure a steady increase in reserves for long-term production.

In 2022, Nordgold geologists submitted to the Russia’s state register resource estimates for two newly discovered deposits near Gross, Tokkinskoe and Roman, at 23.5 tonnes and 49 tonnes of gold, respectively.
