Nordgold launches 5th wave of its Fast Track leadership programme

20 June 2022

Nordgold, the internationally diversified gold producer, is pleased to announce the launch of the 5th wave of Fast Track, a professional development programme designed to advance future leaders’ skills and competences and providing a quicker path to career success for young professionals.

Each Fast Track wave lasts for three years. During this period, early career specialists will have an opportunity to steep themselves in their profession, rotate through four key operating divisions at a large-scale gold mine and, in case of a successful completion of the programme, be considered for hiring to a permanent leadership position with Nordgold.

"We have been working with ambitious young professionals for five years and are proud that today the majority of Fast Track graduates continue to work for the Company. In a fairly short period of time, they gained a wealth of practical experience and grew both professionally and as future team leaders so that we were able to include them into the Nordgold’s succession pool. Our Fast Track, along with internal employee development programmes, contributes significantly to building a pool of talented and driven Nordgold leaders".

Ekaterina TrubenkovaHead of Technical Training at Nordgold

The Fast Track programme will take place on a rotational basis at four Nordgold’s mines, including Lefa (Guinea), Bissa-Bouly (Burkina Faso), Gross (Russia) and Suzdal (Kazakhstan).

To be considered for participation in Fast Track, prospective candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • A degree in mining, metallurgy, geology or maintenance.
  • Minimum 1.5 years of work experience in mining and/or metals.
  • Intermediate level of English.
  • Geographic mobility and readiness to work on a rotational basis.
  • Strong leadership and analytical skills.
  • We invite young professionals to apply until 30 July at the Fast Track website.
