Nordgold Reports Q3 and 9m 2015 Operating Results

Amsterdam, Netherlands, September 2, 2015 - Nord Gold N.V. (“Nordgold” or the “Company”, LSE: NORD), the internationally diversified, low-cost gold producer, announces that following the recommendation of the Board's Nomination Committee, John Munro has been nominated for election as an independent Non-Executive Director at Nordgold's Extraordinary General Meeting (“EGM”) which will be held on October 15, 2015.

Mr. Munro is an international mining industry executive with 25 years’ experience in the sector. Over the last fifteen years he led the development and growth of various mining businesses at a senior executive level in a number of countries and across a range of different commodities.

Nordgold will hold the EGM of the Company’s Shareholders at Apollolaan 15, 1077 AB Amsterdam, the Netherlands on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at 10.00 CET.

Biographical details of Mr. John Munro:

Mr. Munro currently operates as an independent corporate finance and corporate development advisor to the mining industry, with a focus on African mining projects. Prior to this, he was a Director at First Reserve’s Mining Buyout Group in London. Between 2008-2012, he was Chief Executive Officer at Rand Uranium, where he was responsible for the establishment of a new gold and uranium company in South Africa. Between 2002-2008, Mr. Munro as an executive at Gold Fields Limited was variously responsible for corporate development, strategy and international operations and projects. Prior to that, he held various positions in Gold Fields Limited, Gold Fields of South Africa Limited and Northam Platinum Limited.

Mr. Munro has a BSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cape Town.
