Equal Opportunities

Nordgold believes that diversity is essential for a successful business and we proscribe all forms of discrimination

Our approach to equal opportunities and the avoidance of discrimination at work is set in the Equal Opportunities Policy. It applies to all aspects of employment with us, including recruitment, pay and conditions, training, appraisals, promotion, conduct at work, disciplinary and grievance procedures, and termination of employment.

Nordgold meets respective commitments to respect essential labor and human rights. Since 2012 Nordgold has run a hotline, which operates in three languages and can be used by any employee to report violations of human rights, unethical behavior, corruption and fraud.

Our Human Resources Director is responsible for the policy and any necessary training on equal opportunities.

Our primary goal is to respect diversity and promote equality, fostering an equal-opportunity working atmosphere where the voice of every employee is heard. This is particularly important for Nordgold, given that we are an international group of companies that employs workers representing 34 nationalities.

Nordgold promotes greater gender equality in a male-dominated industry; we recognise that it is essential and will ultimately improve our performance, meaning everyone benefits.

To better understand and address the barriers we face, Nordgold supports a number of internal initiatives, such as the Nordgold Women’s Club, which aims to identify, analyse and remedy specific hurdles female employees might face.
